GovCMS 2022 Mega Meetup

Event date
Thursday 1 December 2022 9:30am to Thursday 1 December 2022 3:30pm
Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden and GovTEAMS

Are you ready to connect in-person? GovCMS is!

We are excited to hold our first face-to-face event since 2019. We'd love to see as many faces here in person, but understand that some may prefer to attend online. For this reason the event will be a hybrid within person and virtual attendance available. Please note, only portions of the event will be streamed online via GovTEAMS. If you would like to attend any of the breakout sessions please attend in-person.

This event will be held at Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden on Thursday, 1 December 2022 at 9:30am (AEDT). In person registrations on the day will open from 8:30am. If you would like to attend online, this event will be live-streamed on GovTEAMS.

There will be morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided. In-person tickets are limited to 350. You need to let us know if your circumstances change and you are unable to attend in-person so that we can reallocate your ticket to someone on the waitlist.

Don’t miss out - secure your ticket now! Scroll to the bottom of this page to register.

Information message

There are multiple sessions available to choose from throughout the Mega Meetup. Please provide your preferences for which sessions you'd like to attend beforehand.
Make sure you only select in person if you'll be able to make it on the day.
Morning sessions
If you're not currently a customer or don’t yet have a site live with us or just recently joined then this information session would be good for you - also good if you just need to chat in general to the team about digital stuff in general.
We will walk people through the process of doing a procurement through the Drupal Panel, things to think about, reminders about procurement rules and processes, and we will also provide an update on how the Panel is likely to change once the DXP suppliers are added.
The distro (D10) and the platform is changing and evolving. This session is a conversation you can have with us and provide input on missing features, functionality you'd like to see, problem’s you're trying to tackle, as we will share some ideas on some key improvements we're already looking at.
Afternoon sessions
This session is for government employees only and will focus on extending the conversation about DXP post the POC work we're already done. Questions or concerns? We'd love to hear them. We won’t be talking about the procurement in this session as the RFP will be active and rules are rules.
This conversation will mainly focus on what agencies need to do to transition to Drupal 10, what’s involved, when its likely to happen etc - and plenty of time for questions.
Our service provider Salsa Digital has created a new Drupal-ready theme and design system, based on the work previously done by the DTA, and extended adding in new features and filling in some of the gaps. This session will showcase what's possible, how to get the theme, and will hopefully inspire some creative thinking.
