GovCMS would like to send a massive thank you to everyone who joined us for our GovCMS Digital Experience Platform Proof of Concept Community Showcase. Our event hosted over 160 attendees from around Australia. It was great to see the community come together to explore exciting digital ideas that can shape the future of your website and our platform.
Get in fast, we only have one GovCMS Content Administration training course left for the remainder of 2022. Our Content Administration training covers the basics of publishing, editing, and maintaining content. It is a great starting point for beginners or for someone new to the GovCMS platform.

What time is it? Time to move your Drupal 7 (D7) website to Drupal 9 (D9). There are only 3 months left until D7 is retired from the GovCMS distribution. We encourage all of our D7 customers to make the move to D9 by November 2022 as soon as they can.
Our next preview window is now open until 31 August 2022 for all SaaS customers to explore how Drupal Core 9.4 changes will affect your websites.
The Digital Experience Platform (DXP) proof of concept projects are taking shape. We will host the community showcase in mid-September. If this date changes, we will let you know. You'll be able to register for the event around the end of August.
Don’t forget to save the date for our first Mega Meetup since 2019! We’re excited to finally be able to hold this event face-to-face on 9 November 2022, and would love to see as many faces there as possible. (We hear there’s going to be cake too!)
mages, videos, documents and other file types are normally added to your website as media. Previously, to delete files from your website, your agency was required to raise a Service Desk ticket. However, with the newly added 'Media File Delete' module, you can delete files/media from your website.
GovCMS have started using a new email distribution service. As an existing subscriber of the GovCMS Agency Update you have been added to this service as part of managing our communications. This service is an Australian based, Australian hosted service.

The work on the DXP project is progressing, but taking a little longer than originally planned. At this stage we are planning to host a community showcase in September, where each of the 4 proof of concept projects will be presented. If this date changes (you all know what project timelines are like - they do change) we'll let you know.
Every month, GovCMS automatically removes stale environments (non-production environments) from the platform. This applies to both GovCMS SaaS and PaaS customers. The purpose of this is to improve the performance of GovCMS, by reducing the unnecessary cost and resources.
GovCMS offers two training courses that assist with developing your knowledge of how to use our Content Management System. We still have spots available for upcoming training courses available on our website.

The third major release for 2022 will be the upgrade of Drupal Core from 9.3 to 9.4.
To celebrate how far we’ve come as a community we are planning to host our first in-person Mega Meet-up since 2019. We can understand things have changed since 2019, hence why we would love to know your thoughts on attending in-person events.
