Media File Delete Module

Images, videos, documents and other file types are normally added to your website as media. Previously, to delete files from your website, your agency was required to raise a Service Desk ticket(Opens in a new tab/window). However, with the newly added 'Media File Delete' module, you can delete files/media from your website.

If you would like this capability for your website, please raise a Service Desk ticket(Opens in a new tab/window) request for the Media File Delete module to be enabled. You will need to consider and nominate which user roles are to be provided the permission to delete any file as it should only be granted to a trusted role.

Please note, once you have deleted a file it will be permanently removed from your website. GovCMS cannot restore them for you.

You can find out more information, including a step-by-step tutorial on how to delete files/media, in our GovCMS Knowledgebase(Opens in a new tab/window).
