Hosting contract for GovCMS

It's time (again) to refresh the GovCMS hosting contract.

Our partnership with Salsa Digital started back in 2018. The hosting contract normally lasts for 4 years, but with the pandemic impacting all of us, maintaining the stability of our platform and business continuity needed to be the top priority. This meant we extended our current contract by another year. Now it's time for GovCMS to approach the market and go through the full tender process.

Unlike previous procurements for the hosting contract, this time around, Finance is taking a multi-stage approach. Industry will be asked to register their interest in participating in the tender via an expression of interest (EOI) process. Additionally, the request for proposal (RFP) will be split into 2 stages. This will make the process easier to manage, and reduce the overall time needed for the evaluation.

We need agency input and involvement in this process.

You can get involved by helping us refine our requirements. If there is a feature you think is missing from the platform, or there is something you'd like to see done differently, now's the time to give us that feedback.

Last time we refreshed the hosting contract, a number of agencies were invited to participate in vendor workshops with the shortlisted suppliers. This helped us ensure that the solution we selected was fit-for-purpose and would meet agency expectations. We're likely to do a similar series of workshops this time. This would mean an entire week working closely with the GovCMS team. Exact dates and logistics will be confirmed early next year.
