eSafety receives global internet recognition for world leading website

Congratulations to the eSafety Commissioner for being globally recognised with a prestigious Webby Honouree for their world-leading online safety hub(Opens in a new tab/window).

The honour was received this week in the Government and Civil Innovation category. It ranks eSafety in the top 20 per cent of all websites submitted globally.

'It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 13,000 entries from over 70 countries,' said Executive Director of The Webby Awards Claire Graves.

eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant said receiving a Webby Honouree that recognises excellence on the internet was a great honour for eSafety. It showed that government has an important and innovative role to play in the tech and online space.

‘The recent APS Review recommended Australian Government agencies innovate and continue to build their technical capability to reach more Australians. Our aim was to create compelling and accessible audience-based content that would engage Australian users and have them coming back for more. I think we’ve nailed the brief.’

The GovCMS team couldn’t be prouder of the achievements of eSafety. Their recognition is a great example of what can be achieved on the GovCMS SaaS platform. Read more about their GovCMS journey.
