Drupal 9 Update - February 2022

Did you know there are only nine more months until the end of life of Drupal 7? To date, we have just over 100 Drupal 7 (D7) websites remaining to upgrade to Drupal 9 (D9) on the GovCMS platform. We are aiming to have all D7 websites upgraded to D9 by the end of August 2022.

The transition from D7 to D9 will require a few more extra steps than D8. D7 to D9 will require a full site rebuild. This means we will need to schedule all D7 customers over the next few months. If you haven’t already started, we encourage you to start planning the move now. Get in touch, to discuss your D7 to D9 plans.

After 28 November 2022, we will no longer support D7 websites as there will be minimal security coverage.

Do you need a developer?

We have recently re-established our Whole of Government Drupal Services Panel. Filled with Drupal and GovCMS experts, they can help you with your D9 upgrade.  There are currently 17 approved panel suppliers which can be accessed.
