If you’ve been to one of our GovCMS events, it’s likely you’ve seen a tail or two on your screen. Whether it’s the tails of GovCMS Director, Nathan Wall’s two friendly felines, Caesar and Darcy, or Alistair O’Neill’s charming, Snowy and Skids, these adorable fur balls are constantly stealing the limelight on the GovCMS stage.

While slightly more camera-shy than their feline friends, the GovCMS team has other furry (and not so furry) friends who kept us company during lockdown.

GovCMS Communications Officer, Rebekah Pender, has been run off her feet the last few months playing ball with her two-year-old Border Collie she recently adopted from the RSCPA. With a similar, large, amount of energy and playful attitude, Michelle Cristallo’s German Shepard, Bella has been jumping for joy at her owners ongoing presence for pat-giving and tug-of-war.

Unlike Sasha and Bella, our website Product Owner, Amy Eastwood’s Whippet X is more interested in spending her day still in bed while her owner worked the days away in the home office.

On the not-so-furry side, Roden the bearded dragon kept Ian Barons’ company beating up Lego people while waiting patiently for head scratches, crickets, and kingworms - yuk!

She’s not the only pet with unusual tastes however. Echo, the six-month-old Diamond Python, supported one of the team by alternating between bathing in his water bowl, or basking underneath his heat lamp. While Echo is only 60 to 70 cm's long now, he’ll grow to be about 2.5 to 3 meters! It’s lucky he’s a docile snake who is more interested in climbing all over you rather than eating you.
