The .gov.au means it’s official

Australian government websites always use a .gov.au domain. Before sharing sensitive information online, make sure you’re on a .gov.au site by inspecting your browser’s address (or 'location') bar.

This site is secure

The https:// ensures that you are connecting to the official website and that any information you provide is encrypted and transmitted securely.

Privacy impact assessments for GovCMS

We’ve almost completed the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for GovCMS. We're happy to share it with you upon request. We're also in the process of creating a PIA template. You can use this template rather than starting from scratch. For everyone with websites on GovCMS SaaS, the template would look to cover components that will already have boxes ticked by the fact your site is hosted with us. You will hopefully only need to finalise components specific to your website saving time and money.

Each agency is responsible for their own PIA. They are an important part in protecting the privacy of information on your website. It should be part of the overall risk management and planning processes of managing your website. Talk to your agency’s privacy or legal teams for detailed advice.

We’ll keep you up-to-date on our progress.
