Meet the team – Jayden

Meet Jayden, our Rules as Code (RaC) Product Owner, who has been leading the rollout of RaC across GovCMS.

Jayden first encountered Rules as Code while working on a university project and now finds himself back in the space as Product Owner for the service.

Jayden is working closely with the GovCMS community to explore potential implementations, overseeing security accreditation activities and connecting with international communities to learn from Rules as Code initiatives happening around the world.

Rules as Code aims to make legislation and policy easier to understand and apply by translating complex rules into machine-consumable code. As governments continue to explore emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, the opportunities for applying Rules as Code continue to grow.

One of the things Jayden enjoys most about the role is the variety it brings.

"From talking to agencies about improving government policy to integrating rules into AI chatbots, every day is a new surprise. I'm always happy to talk with anyone who wants to learn more about Rules as Code or explore how it could work for their agency."

Outside of work, you'll usually find Jayden outdoors enjoying nature. A keen birdwatcher, he enjoys exploring local reserves and discovering the incredible range of bird species that can be found right on our doorstep.

It's an exciting time for Rules as Code, and we're looking forward to seeing what agencies learn and achieve as the service continues to evolve.
