Drupal 9 September update

We have just released an early prototype of the GovCMS Drupal 9 (D9) distribution on GitHub(Opens in a new tab/window). We are asking the community to get involved. We need volunteers to test and play with the current functionality on a local environment.

We are keen to receive feedback on the first iteration. This includes general feedback, bugs, improvements and site functionality. Feedback will help inform the backlog for future releases.

If you’re a developer, join the GovCMS D9 conversation and raise your issues(Opens in a new tab/window) and pull requests(Opens in a new tab/window) in GitHub(Opens in a new tab/window). This channel is for technical conversations.

For general questions, Contact Us. We have created a dedicated space on the GovCMS website for updates to D9.

Note: the GovCMS D9 distribution is not yet production ready. The initial release is a bare bones proof of concept. With Drupal 8 (D8) reaching end of life first (November 2021) our initial focus is on making the D8 distribution compatible with D9. We will be shifting our focus to Drupal 7 customers shortly.
