What does the update remove from the GovCMS D7 distribution?
The update removes two modules from the GovCMS D7 distribution:
- the Mime Mail module, which is replaced by the Swift Mailer module
- the Session Cookie Lifetime module.
Additional information is provided below.
Mime Mail replacement
GovCMS first advised customers that the Mime Mail module would be replaced by the Swift Mailer module in September 2019. In May of this year, affected Software as a Service (SaaS) GovCMS D7 customers were again contacted by the GovCMS team to ensure that their websites use Swift Mailer.
Session Cookie Lifetime module
The Session Cookie Lifetime module is not being used by GovCMS D7 customers and, therefore, is no longer required. The update removes it from the GovCMS D7 distribution.
What support will be provided for the GovCMS D7 distribution after the update?
After this update the GovCMS D7 distribution will be in maintenance mode. Updates to address security updates will be scheduled as required.
What must my organisation do now?

SaaS customers don’t need to perform any actions as part of the deployment but do need to check their site after the deployment to ensure there aren’t any issues.
