2016 has been a huge year for the govCMS team and community.

In July we won an award at the IPAA Public Sector Innovation Awards in the “Contributing to a culture or practice of Innovation” category. This award was reflective of the excellent ways government agencies have been using the service and contributing to the broader govCMS community.

This year we hosted two large community meetups. The first in May and the second one in November. These were a great opportunity for the govCMS community to get together network, share stories and talk about the direction govCMS is going.

Recently we welcomed the Department of Defence to the govCMS community with the launch of www.army.gov.au on our SaaS platform.

We have also migrated sites onto the govCMS platform as a result of the decommissioning of govspace. These included Public Sector Innovation and Government Domain Names.

We have achieved a goal of having over 50 agencies using govCMS with more than 115 live websites and more are in the pipeline for 2017.

As the holiday season approaches the govCMS team hopes you have a safe and enjoyable Christmas break. We will be finishing on Friday 23 December and returning to work on Tuesday 3 January.

To end the year we thought we’d leave you with the 12 days of govCMS.

"On the 12th day of Christmas govCMS gave to me...
